Everything agreed for next Aston Villa sale to follow Jacob Ramsey out of Villa Park

Aston Villa are not stopping with exits after the £40million sale of Jacob Ramsey to Newcastle.

Ramsey was offered a new contract at Villa Park, but the 24-year-old ultimately chose to join Newcastle following a wave of interest this summer.

Unai Emery has yet to do much business of his own this summer, with Evann Guessand the only notable incoming at Aston Villa for a fee of around £26million.

Due to Profit and Sustainability rules, the Villans are still eager to offload players to fund other potential incomings before the deadline.

Leander Dendoncker finally set for Villa exit

Villa are still keen for further incomings, with Marco Asensio linked with a return after his impressive loan spell last season.

Emery must first recoup further funds and get players off the wage list, with Leander Dendoncker a player that Aston Villa are eager to offload.

According to transfer expert Matteo Moretto, on 17 August, Leander Dendoncker has headed to Spain, with everything agreed between Real Oviedo and Aston Villa for his transfer.

The terms of the transfer have yet to be revealed, but it is expected that, given the midfielder’s wages, Villa will be willing to let him leave for free.

Since arriving at Villa Park from Wolves in 2022, Dendoncker has struggled for gametime.

The Villans paid £13million for the Belgian, who made just 36 appearances across his three years with the club.

Dendonker could fund new signing at Villa

Leon Bailey is another who could join Ramsey and Dendoncker out the door as Roma continue to push for his signature.

The sale of the trio could help fund more transfers, with Bailey expected to reel in a sizeable fee.

The Jamaican is also on £120,000 a week at Villa Park, so a sale could free up plenty of wages for a new signing or for Emery to offer someone else a new contract.

Emery is definitely in need of reinforcements in the coming weeks, with an uneventful performance against Newcastle showing that they are missing a spark.

Leandro Trossard is reportedly on their radar, and Emery could swap Dendoncker for one of his fellow compatriots once he seals his exit.
