Luke Littler reacts as new Jhon Duran transfer update emerges at Aston Villa
Luke Littler has reacted after news dropped of West Ham United’s new bid for Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran.
According to talkSPORT [20 January], the Hammers have submitted a new and improved £57million offer after their club-record £40million bid was rejected by the Villans last week.
It is understood that, with Unai Emery’s side having no interest in selling the 21-year-old, the offer from East London has already been turned down.
As the transfer news broke, the newly crowned PDC World Darts champion liked talkSPORT’s Instagram post, with Villa rebuffing the new offer for their in-form forward.
Aston Villa continue to rebuff Jhon Duran offers from West Ham United
After managing to keep the Colombian sensation during the summer transfer window, it is bound to take much more than £57million to tempt Villa into a sale anytime soon.
Having taken over from Ollie Watkins in recent weeks, who boasts 10 goals and seven assists, Duran has netted 12 goals across all competitions and has attracted interest from all over Europe.
With the Villans hoping to rise up the Premier League table while competing in the Champions League, Duran’s exit cannot even be contemplated unless a replacement is found before 3 February.
Of course, the inexperienced forward seems to have somewhat of an attitude problem, having picked up 14 yellow cards and one red card in 76 games.

It is no secret that Graham Potter’s Hammers side are in desperate need of a new striker, and while Villa are holding out for closer to £80million [Mail on Sunday], this could see his stock rise even further.
Supporters at Villa Park would likely be absolutely furious if the decision was to be made to cash in on the young striker, and understandably so, but the Irons increasing their bid enough does not seem likely anyway.
In other Aston Villa news, Ollie Watkins has been tipped to be made available in a new shock transfer admission.
