Aston Villa could swoop in for £26m Marcus Rashford deal as return wanted this summer
Marcus Rashford could soon complete a move back to Aston Villa.
Rashford has kept tabs on Villa since his loan spell from Manchester United came to an end last summer.
Unai Emery gave the England international a chance and has helped propel Rashford to feature regularly for Barcelona this campaign.
Rashford has done well with Barcelona and has continued to showcase his qualities away from the Premier League.
The upcoming window will raise questions over Rashford’s future and whether a Villa Park return could become possible.

Marcus Rashford return wanted
Rashford signed for Villa in January 2025 and went on to be a useful asset in claret and blue across the rest of the season.
The 28-year-old was particularly impressive in the Champions League quarter-final against Paris Saint-Germain, where his individual performance was stellar.
His assist for Ezri Konsa’s goal is one of the most iconic in recent B6 memory, even though it eventually counted for nothing.
That has left Villa fans wanting to see more of Rashford in the Midlands, but for now have to watch him shine at Camp Nou.
The Times have reported that Barcelona have the chance to make his deal permanent for £26million, but the current presidential race could take a toll on that move.
Deco wants to keep the Englishman in Catalonia, but with Joan Laporta battling out with Victor Font, Marc Ciria, Xavier Vilajoana and Joan Camprubi for Camp Nou presidency, changes could be in the pipeline.
Reports also suggest that Michael Carrick wants Rashford to return to Old Trafford, although that is said to be a “distant prospect”.
That could be music to Villa’s ears, with the door potentially opening wider for a B6 return for Rashford in the summer.
Aston Villa must move for Rashford this summer
If there is any chance that the Villans can bring the Englishman back to the Midlands in an upcoming window, they must take the opportunity with both hands.
The opportunity to sign players with that level of quality doesn’t come around often, and Rashford has already proven himself in claret and blue.

Barcelona may not go back in and sign the forward in the summer, and the 28-year-old probably won’t want to stay at Man United any longer than he has to.
He has constantly discussed his time at Villa, and it is clear he loved it at Bodymoor Heath, so why not bring yet another former star back to B6?
