Aston Villa stance on Evann Guessand made clear as Tammy Abraham price revealed
Tammy Abraham is desperate to make a sensational return to Aston Villa.
The Roma striker is currently on loan at Besiktas, and his contract includes a conditional obligation to buy clause worth £11.5million.
Abraham wants to leave Besiktas for Premier League football as he aims to make his way into Thomas Tuchel’s plans for the 2026 World Cup.
The Villans have to speak to the Turkish side and request that they do not trigger the obligation to buy Abraham.
Besiktas are reluctant to agree, but they have given Villa two ways in which the deal could be completed, which involve a possible swap for Evann Guessand.

Aston Villa refuse to let Evann Guessand move to Besiktas in Tammy Abraham deal
Abraham spent the 2018-19 season in B6 while on loan from Chelsea, and he played a key part in helping the Villans earn promotion from the Championship.
Villa bid £15.6m for the English striker, but the Turkish outfit turned the approach down swiftly.
Turkish media outlet Sabah has now reported that Besiktas gave Aston Villa two options in reaching an agreement for Abraham.
| Stat | Abraham |

They’ve asked for either £17.4m, or a cash deal that includes Guessand moving the other way.
Besiktas wanted to sign Guessand on loan until June 2027; however, Villa stated that they would not release the 24-year-old on an 18-month loan under any circumstances.
Negotiations are ongoing regarding the transfer fee, and Nottingham Forest and Everton are reportedly also prepared to match this amount.

With Unai Emery’s side sitting third in the Premier League table, they are the clear frontrunners to sign the 28-year-old.

Guessand’s performance vs Everton sums up his Aston Villa career
Aston Villa spent £30m on Guessand in the summer transfer window, but it’s safe to say the move hasn’t panned out.
The Ivorian has struggled at the Midlands club, having started only six Premier League games this season.
In Villa’s 1-0 loss to Everton on Sunday, Guessand came on for the injured John McGinn in the 18th minute.
He had 22 touches of the ball, completing just seven passes and not a single successful dribble, although he did hit the bar with a looping header.
Guessand was once again hugely ineffective, and although Villa need him for depth, he would probably be better off heading to Besiktas on loan.
If Abraham is to move to Villa Park, NSWE will have to fork out the £17.4m fee rather quickly, and it looks relatively certain that he may be playing alongside Guessand, despite Besiktas’ wishes.
