Aston Villa's plan to bring Tammy Abraham home could be one of the more complex transfers that the Villans have ever been involved in.

Villa are interested in bringing Abraham back to Villa Park this month, with the number nine currently on loan from Roma to Besiktas.

The Villans have the funds to wrap up a deal, but Besiktas are the side in a commanding position.

However, as relayed by Total Villa on X, Aston Villa have been handed a boost because Abraham is said to want a second spell in B6.

Besiktas hold all the cards in Tammy Abraham deal; here's why

It's been suggested that Evann Guessand could head to Besiktas as part of a cash plus player swap deal for Villa to sign Abraham.

Roma still technically own the Englishman, but recent reports are suggesting that Besiktas have the power over Abraham's fate.

  • Abraham has scored seven league goals for Besiktas this season
  • His loan deal includes a conditional obligation to buy for the Turkish side at around £11.5million

As detailed by Dharmesh Sheth live on Sky Sports, Besiktas have met the conditions to buy Abraham from Roma, as the Italian side would not be in any potential discussions with Villa over a transfer.

The Villans have to speak to Besiktas and request that they do not trigger the obligation to buy Abraham, with the player wanting a return to Villa Park.

Which is why Besiktas are the side that can lead in negotiations regarding Abraham's future, and while asking for Guessand, they could request an unfair additional fee from Villa.

Abraham's red-hot form poses obvious Aston Villa decision

Guessand hasn't exactly hit the ground running for Aston Villa, with many supporters believing that the forward isn't cut out for the Premier League.

Abraham, on the other hand, is proven in England's top flight and has only continued his goal-scoring form since leaving his native country.

The 2026 World Cup is coming up, and there's no reason for Abraham not to push for a place in Thomas Tuchel's squad.

It will be another reason as to why the 28-year-old wants to come back to Villa, but NSWE need to take formal action in wrapping up an agreement with Besiktas before it's too late.
