Aston Villa could enrage an entire fanbase amid surprise Youssef En-Nesyri transfer reveal
Unai Emery and Aston Villa are in the January market to try and sign a striker who can compete with Ollie Watkins.
The Villans have been on a surging run in the Premier League recently, and have put themselves firmly in the conversation to win the title.
Emery wants multiple additions in the January transfer window, as a new number nine is at the top of his wishlist.
Villa have been credited with interest in Tammy Abraham, with a shock Villa Park return currently in the works.
However, the late option of Fenerbahce’s Youssef En-Nesyri could make internals in B6 back away from the Abraham deal.
Everton fans have been dreaming of Youssef En-Nesyri
As reported by credible journalist Matteo Moretto on Saturday, the signing of En-Nesyri has been proposed to Aston Villa.
There have been suggestions that the forward is available for loan this month, and with Villa’s financial concerns still prevalent, En-Nesyri could be a more feasible deal to pull off than Abraham.
- Abraham’s potential move could cost NSWE north of £10million
- En-Nesyri would only cost in wages and a possible loan fee
But in the past week, Everton have been heavily linked with the goal-scoring Moroccan, with many of their fans clamouring for his arrival.
The Toffees have had struggles in attack this season, and are in need of a striker much more than the Villans. If En-Nesyri were to join Villa, Everton’s whole fanbase would surely turn on their ownership.
Looking at the 28-year-old’s stats from this campaign so far, it’s easy to see why Villa could be keen to move for En-Nesyri.
En-Nesyri could be golden for Aston Villa; the stats prove it
Watkins has been Villa’s sharp-shooter for years, but seems to have dropped off the pace a touch this campaign.
The Englishman used to have competition with Jhon Duran, which pushed him to perform at the peak of his powers, and he may just need a new addition to get the best out of him once more.

En-Nesyri could be that man. The striker has been tearing things up in Turkey this season, and it’s easy to see why Fenerbahce are going to have a hard time keeping their talisman beyond this window.
The good thing for Emery and Co. is that they have options. But it’s pivotal that the correct decision is made, particularly when it comes to who Villa sign next to compete with Watkins.
