Marcus Rashford completed goal he set at Aston Villa – he proved it for Barcelona vs Newcastle
Marcus Rashford has scored his first goals for Barcelona since departing Aston Villa.
Rashford spent the second half of last season with Villa after agreeing a short-term loan deal away from Manchester United.
This saw Rashford shine for Villa, particularly against PSG, before his temporary spell ultimately came to an end as Unai Emery’s side missed out on Champions League football.
After moving on from Villa Park, Rashford joined Barcelona on loan but had gone without a goal in his opening four LaLiga appearances under Hansi Flick.
Now, it appears that Rashford has fulfilled his dreams and achieved his aims from his Villa days after netting a brace against Newcastle in the Champions League.

It has been a tough start to life for the England international with the Catalan giants after a highly anticipated move from Old Trafford.
This has seen Rashford come under pressure after his Barcelona debut, having failed to truly live up to the high expectations surrounding him at Camp Nou.
With that being said, any qualms around the versatile forward have certainly been removed after a stellar performance against Newcastle United.

In the opening clash of the Champions League league phase, Rashford netted a stunning double at St James’ Park, with the second being simply spectacular.
This opened the wider footballing world’s eyes to just how good the United man can be when given the opportunity to flourish.
It is fair to say that Rashford has now achieved exactly what he wanted to do when he set out his ambitions for his spell at Villa Park.
Marcus Rashford achieved his Aston Villa goals
There was no getting away from the fact that the signing of the Englishman represented a real coup for the Villans in the winter window.
Given the level that the attacker had previously achieved, landing him on loan did come as a surprise to many at Villa Park last season.
It was clear from the outset that Rashford wanted to work hard and set high ambitions for himself, something which he has gone on to achieve with Barcelona.
Speaking via Aston Villa’s official website on 3 February, he said: “I’ve had to choose somewhere where I feel my style of football is suited to, and can help them and help me rediscover and improve as a player.
“I know I can hurt teams. I know when I’m playing at my best, I can decide football games. That’ll be my only ambition and only goal, to help the team win more games.”
It is fair to say that he has proven that he has the ability to hurt opposition outfits and secure wins all on his own, just as he did for Barcelona against the Magpies.
