Chelsea could ‘shatter Alexander Isak transfer record’ to sign Morgan Rogers amid Aston Villa exit news
Morgan Rogers could still complete a move from Aston Villa to Chelsea in a deal worth over £125million.
Rogers was linked to Chelsea in the summer window, but a move away from Villa Park never materialised in the end.
This has seen the England international remain in B6, but so far this season, Rogers has been poor for Villa and could be dropped as a result.
A lack of impact has been on show from the attacking midfielder in almost every game this season, with Villa’s defeat against Crystal Palace being particularly frustrating.
With that being said, Rogers could still be on his way out in the coming months, with a switch to Chelsea potentially on the cards.

This article includes exclusive comments from former Aston Villa employee Bryan King.
Morgan Rogers could still join Chelsea for record-breaking fee
Chelsea and Arsenal were linked with a record-breaking Rogers deal previously, but the Gunners now feel unlikely to make a move for the 23-year-old.
This could leave the door open for Enzo Maresca’s side to reignite their interest in the Englishman moving into the upcoming transfer windows.
Villa may be willing to bring in a sizable fee to part ways with the attacking midfielder after what has been a poor start to the campaign.
Now, former scout Bryan King has suggested that Chelsea could continue their sizable transfer spend to bring Rogers in at Stamford Bridge in a deal that could exceed the £125million Liverpool spent on signing Alexander Isak from Newcastle.
Speaking exclusively to Villa News, King said: “I think Villa had a situation similar to this one with Grealish when he was there and playing well.
“Money can turn heads.
“If the right offer comes in for Rogers, and he keeps performing well for England and Villa, then I could maybe even see the Isak record getting beaten.
“If he’s going to leave the club, then that’s the kind of money that it would potentially take.
“Business at Chelsea is strange to say the least. The amount of money that they’ve used has been obscene, really.”

Aston Villa can now let Morgan Rogers go
After the start to the season that he’s had, Emery’s “Championship player” label may not be too far of where Rogers is right now.
Having put in a stellar performance for England against Serbia, the Villa man has been poor and done very little of note in the Premier League.
As a result, the prospect of a sizable fee coming in and a sale being agreed could prove to be a wise move for the B6 outfit.
It will be interesting to see where the ex-Manchester City youngster’s future lies and whether his form can turn around for the Villans.
