Premier League hit Aston Villa with huge fine as new breaches revealed
Aston Villa have been slapped with yet another sanction, this time from the Premier League.
The Villans have already had their problems to deal with this summer, with UEFA forcing the claret and blue outfit to pay £9.5million in July.
It appears that Unai Emery and Co. have steered clear of any further punishment from the European body as the sale of Jacob Ramsey to Newcastle United looks set to go through.
Even with that being the case, the Villa Park club haven’t made it to the opening day of the new campaign without yet another punishment to add to an ever-growing list.

Premier League announce latest Aston Villa sanction
For everything good going on, on the pitch for the B6 club, they seem to be consistently getting involved in off-pitch issues.
There has been no lack of frustration against PSR rules, something which Nassef Sawiris has spoken out about on regular occasions.
It appears that any further financial punishments are set to be avoided after a largely quiet summer transfer window to this point.
Regardless, the Villans have been slapped with a fresh £125,000 fine by the Premier League for breaching the league’s multiball rules.
The Premier League announced (14 August) that Aston Villa had agreed to the sanction after five separate breaches of the ruling.
| Opponent | Date | |
| 1. | Manchester United | 6 October 2024 |
| 2. | Bournemouth | 26 October 2024 |
| 3. | Crystal Palace | 23 November 2024 |
| 4. | Brentford | 4 December 2024 |
| 5. | Tottenham | 16 May 2025 |
Games against Manchester United, Bournemouth, Crystal Palace, Brentford and Tottenham were noted for “misuse of the multiball system”, resulting in a huge accumulated fine.
Now, in upcoming home fixtures against Newcastle United, Crystal Palace, and Fulham won’t feature the multiball system as part of the sanction agreement.
Aston Villa punished again
It seems as if the Villans can’t catch a break right now, but in this case, it appears that they brought this fine on themselves.
There must be some sort of advantage that the claret and blue outfit are getting from this system that the league organisers have taken issue with.
This is unlikely to impact the finances of the B6 outfit and their ability to spend in the market, something which has already been seriously lacking.
So far, only Marco Bizot from Brest and Evann Guessand from OGC Nice have come in, largely due to UEFA’s SCR complaints.
