Triston Rowe and the next Morgan Rogers – the Aston Villa youngsters set for breakout season
Aston Villa may have to have a greater reliance on youth going into the new Premier League campaign.
With Villa failing to pull up many trees so far in the transfer window, supporters in B6 are beginning to become agitated.
The signing of Evann Guessand to give Unai Emery more options up front is undoubtedly welcomed, but there is plenty more work that needs to be done.
With Villa’s opening game against Newcastle rapidly approaching, time is beginning to run out for new faces to arrive at Villa Park before kick-off.
With that being said, Villa News looks at three youngsters who could take advantage of this situation and force their way into Emery’s squad next season.

Jamaldeen Jimoh-Aloba can be the next Morgan Rogers
Rogers is proof that talented youngsters can thrive at Villa Park under Emery if the Spaniard deems them to be good enough.
Jimoh-Aloba, 18, is evidently on the right path when it comes to earning Emery’s trust, as the teenager earned his senior debut and featured in the EFL Cup against Crystal Palace last season.
The attacking midfielder was a part of Villa’s Under-18s FA Youth Cup triumph and also featured regularly in the Premier League 2 last season.
- Jimoh-Aloba scored four goals and one assist in 17 appearances in the Premier League 2 last campaign
If Villa cannot get a player like Marco Asensio through the door before the window slams shut, the talented youngster could find himself featuring more regularly next season.
Triston Rowe could establish himself as part of Villa’s backline
After starting the game in pre-season against Villarreal, it is clear that Rowe could also be a part of Emery’s plans for next season.
The 18-year-old right-back played just over 80 minutes as the Villans ran out as 2-0 winners against the LaLiga outfit and has gained plaudits on social media for his performances throughout pre-season.
With the Europa League adding extra stress onto a Villa squad in dire need of reinforcements, Rowe could find himself picking up some European experience.
With the defender signing a new long-term contract at the club last summer, Villa may have their right-back for the next decade already sorted.

George Hemmings may feature in engine room next campaign
There has been plenty of speculation surrounding some of Villa’s midfielders this summer, with John McGinn being linked with a move away.
Jacob Ramsey was also touted to potentially leave, but this now looks unlikely with a new contract being prepared for the academy graduate.
Another academy graduate midfielder who is making a good impression is Hemmings, with the youngster also shining in pre-season.
Like Rowe and Jimoh-Aloba, Hemmings is also 18 and looks to be working his way up the ranks.
With Leander Dendoncker on the verge of finally leaving and Ross Barkley starting just three games last season, Hemmings could find himself relatively high up the midfield pecking order next season.
