Aston Villa to seal cut-price Garnacho transfer on ‘lower wages’ from Man United
Aston Villa could potentially sign Alejandro Garnacho for cheap from Manchester United this transfer window.
The Argentina international has been linked with a move to the Villans after falling out of favour with Ruben Amorim at Old Trafford.
Garnacho wants to work under Unai Emery at Villa Park, and the 21-year-old forward may get his wish in a cut-price deal with the Red Devils, although he could potentially have to make a concession as well.

Garnacho should accept lower wages for Aston Villa transfer as Man United may have to sell cheap
Man United may have to sell Villa target Garnacho for cheap as buying clubs are familiar with their issues, Henry Winter says.
The World Soccer journalist believes the Red Devils should cut their losses as soon as possible on the likes of the Argentine winger and focus on rebuilding their team for Amorim.
Winter also wants to see the 21-year-old make an effort to restart his career by accepting “lower wages” to seal a transfer away.

The journalist wrote on X (26 July): “Antony, Garnacho, Malacia and Sancho have cost United a fortune in fees, wages and/or development. They won’t sell them cheap, Amorim insists. They may have to. United need to defuse the ‘bomb squad’, get them out asap, and cut their losses even if it means paying the price for the club’s past mistakes
“Buying clubs know United’s issues. So insert substantial sell-ons, and ensure recruitment and remuneration is shrewder in the future. The four also have to accept lower wages to restart their careers as Rashford has done at Barcelona.”
Marcus Rashford took a pay cut to join Barcelona this summer, and the hierarchy at Villa Park will hope Garnacho does the same.
Emery needs Garnacho transfer at Aston Villa
Rashford’s loss at Villa will be massive as Emery relied on the England international in the second half of last season.
The Spanish manager also relied on Marco Asensio, who had an impressive spell at the Lions after signing on loan from Paris Saint-Germain.
It’s surprising to see the Villans haven’t made many additions to their team this summer so far, which will certainly disappoint the fans.
Villa arguably need more quality up front after losing Jhon Duran permanently in the winter transfer window.
The Villans haven’t signed a replacement for the Colombia international yet, and could potentially also lose Ollie Watkins to Man United.
Garnacho would arguably be one of the several additions needed at Villa Park to build a competitive team for the upcoming campaign, as fans hope to end the trophy drought in B6 with a Europa League title.
