Alejandro Garnacho’s exit from Man United seems inevitable this summer.

As for Aston Villa, their focus will be on securing new additions to the squad in a bid to bridge the gap from the teams who finished above them last season.

Several players have already been linked with a move to Villa Park, though a deal for Marcus Rashford to return is looking increasingly unlikely.

However, a move for his Man United teammate Garnacho could instead be on the cards, after he was spotted wearing an Aston Villa shirt.

Aston Villa could move to sign Garnacho

Unai Emery will be keen to bolster his squad wherever and whenever possible this summer, with room for improvement across all areas of the team.

However, adding to his attacking lineup will be one of the priorities, and a move for Garnacho could make sense for both parties after it was reported that the Red Devils wanted £60million for the winger [The Mirror].

With that said, the report also adds that the valuation could drop if it doesn't drum up enough interest, with several clubs showing interest.

As per bet365, Chelsea lead the race to sign the Argentine, at odds of 8/13, followed by Napoli at 7/1.

Next on the list are Aston Villa at 10/1, which is the same return you can get on him staying at Man United.

Villa need to make the most of this summer

Villa's failure to get Champions League football can be seen as a good thing in the sense that they will require somewhat less this summer.

However, if the Villans are to make up the ground that they lost last season, they will need to secure some top-level signings in the coming weeks, ahead of the Premier League opener.

Whether a deal for Garnacho is pursued or not remains to be seen, though it is evident that additions like that will be needed ahead of what will be a crucial campaign.
