England fans rage over ‘pathetic’ Morgan Rogers footage after win v Andorra
Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers wasn’t popular with England fans after the Andorra win on Saturday.
The Three Lions travelled to Barcelona on 7 June and could only manage a narrow win as Harry Kane scored the only goal of the game on 50 minutes.
It’s fair to say that the travelling faithful were far from impressed with Thomas Tuchel and his side’s performance as boos were heard at full-time.
Villa man Rogers didn’t avoid criticism from England fans as many reacted to footage emerging out of the RCDE Stadium.

England fans unimpressed with Rogers v Andorra
The 22-year-old had a superb campaign in B6 as he became a regular under Unai Emery, playing in all but one Premier League game.
As a result, the attacking midfielder is more than deserving of his spot in the senior national set-up alongside big names like Cole Palmer, Jude Bellingham and Declan Rice.
This saw the former Middlesbrough man earn a start in Tuchel’s third game and catch the eye with one particular moment of skill.
Rogers was able to breeze past a number of Andorra defenders as he pulled off a silky ball roll before beating another defender to get to the byline.
This was described as “brilliant play” by Lee Dixon on ITV, but it is fair to say that the Three Lions’ supporters didn’t see it this way.
One fan described the moment as “pathetic”, with Tuchel’s side having not opened the scoring at the point of this magical run.
Another pointed towards the failed final pass from the Villa star as they sent a sarcastic clapping emoji joined by a comment, saying: “The end result was he gave the ball away?”
This was echoed by another negative review, which described the “lack of end product” as “the same old story” for the forward with 31 goal involvements in claret and blue.
Aston Villa star Rogers must brush off England negativity
It is bizarre to see a young player receive hate for pulling off such a classy piece of skill, which opened up the opposition defence.
Suggesting that it’s “only Andorra” isn’t truly a fair criticism of the 22-year-old who can only beat who he comes up against.
There was no lack of backing from the Villa Park faithful, who were delighted to see another showcase of quality from Rogers, this time on the international stage.
With Ezri Konsa also putting in a top performance and keeping a clean sheet, it is excellent to see the Villa boys shining for the Three Lions.
