Aston Villa about to accept £58m+ Jhon Duran bid, personal terms agreed

Aston Villa is in the process of accepting a bid from Al-Nassr for Jhon Duran, according to L’Equipe.

The French outlet reported on 28 January that the Saudi Arabian side have tabled a bid in excess of £58m for the 21-year-old this winter.

This comes after PSG made a bid to sign the Colombia international but a January move was turned down by the Villans initially.

The stance at Villa Park has now changed as the striker has now reached a contractual agreement with the side that Cristiano Ronaldo joined in January 2023.

The former Chicago Fire talent was linked with a move away from B6 throughout the summer but remained and had an excellent season to this point.

As a result, it was no surprise that interest was reignited but initially, it appeared that the Villans were going to turn down any offer sent in their direction.

That no longer seems to be the case and now a move to the Saudi Pro League is on the cards for a sizable fee for a January transfer.

It will be interesting to see if the Colombian departs now or whether Emery is able to keep hold of his talented forward for the second half of the campaign.
