Aston Villa livid with Jhon Duran transfer twist
Aston Villa are “livid” with West Ham over their pursuit of Jhon Duran, according to The Guardian.
The newspaper reported in its print edition (page 47, 21 January) that the Villans are furious with the timing of the Hammers’ latest offer for the forward.

The report states that Unai Emery’s side does not want to sell the 21-year-old, who recently signed a new contract to keep him at Villa Park until 2030.
Aston Villa star Duran is not for sale
The former Chicago Fire ace has emerged as one of the deadliest strikers in the Premier League this season, notching seven goals in 19 matches.
He has also scored three goals in six Champions League matches and had dislodged Ollie Watkins from the starting line-up before his red card against Newcastle.
Emery brought in Donyell Malen in the winter transfer window to bolster his attack, and it makes no sense to weaken it afterwards.

Given Duran’s sensational form, it is no surprise that clubs like Paris Saint-Germain are sniffing around, trying to secure his services.
However, it will take a substantial fee for the Villans to even entertain the idea of selling their star man after his stunning season.
The club have made it clear that they will not allow him to leave in the winter transfer window as he is far too important to lose halfway through the campaign.
