Aston Villa to offer Jacob Ramsey new contract as exit rumours heat up
Bryan King has guaranteed that Aston Villa will offer exit-linked midfielder Jacob Ramsey a brand-new contract.
The ex-Villa scout claims the 23-year-old is an important part of the club’s plans.
According to Give Me Sport (9 October), Newcastle, Arsenal and Tottenham are all interested in Ramsey, who is valued at around £50million, with Villa unwilling to lose him for nothing in 2026.
However, this speculation has frustrated King, who – speaking exclusively to Villa News – has assured that Unai Emery’s side have different plans in mind for the player.
“Why shouldn’t they offer Ramsey a new contract?” King said.
“Of course, they will try and tie him down. He is an important player in Villa’s plans as I see it.
“When the time is right, I guarantee you Aston Villa will be making a new contract offer for him, and I would say that will be coming sometime between January and March of next year.”
Aston Villa to offer Jacob Ramsey a brand-new contract?
Ramsey is a fan favourite at Villa Park. Therefore, any contract offer for the Englishman would likely be received well.
The midfielder has been held back by injuries in recent seasons. However, if he can solve that issue, he is no doubt a talented player who could become a big part of the club’s future under Unai Emery.

As a result, Villa might not want to sell him. They have already surprised supporters once this season with a new contract out of the blue for Jhon Duran, despite previous talk of him leaving.
Therefore, there is no reason why they won’t do the same with Ramsey.
