Newcastle want to sign Jacob Ramsey as £50m Aston Villa development emerges
Aston Villa midfielder Jacob Ramsey is on Newcastle’s radar ahead of the next summer transfer window, according to GIVEMESPORT.
The outlet reported via their website on 9 October that Arsenal and Tottenham are also interested in the 23-year-old.
Villa, for their part, could cash in on him for around £50 million, although he is contracted to the club until 2027.
Aston Villa face Jacob Ramsey decision amid Newcastle interest
Ramsey rose through the ranks at Aston Villa before making his senior debut in a 2-0 Championship defeat to West Brom in February 2019.
He has since made 131 appearances across all competitions for the club, scoring 13 goals and providing 14 assists.
The Englishman was particularly effective in the 2022-23 season, contributing towards 13 goals in 35 league games.
Although Ramsey has since been restricted to 1188 minutes of league football due to injuries, he remains an asset to Villa.
He produced a goalscoring performance in the team’s 3-0 Champions League win against Young Boys on 17 September.

Unai Emery’s side, therefore, have a decision to make regarding him amid interest from Arsenal, Tottenham and Newcastle.
Morgan Rogers has been in fine form since arriving from Middlesbrough for a deal worth £16 million in February, contributing towards three goals in seven league games this term. With Emiliano Buendia also in their ranks, Villa could afford to lose Rogers.
The Birmingham outfit could also bag a pure profit of £50 million on Ramsey as he is a homegrown academy player.
