Aston Villa could have the perfect chance to sign Ibrahim Mbaye from Paris Saint-Germain.

The Senegal international is coming off the back of his first World Cup, where he featured four times.

The 18-year-old also got on the scoresheet as he netted a stunner against France on his tournament debut.

His nation may have been knocked out against Belgium in the round of 32, but he picked up valuable experience.

That has only seen interest build in his signature after links away from Ligue 1 ahead of his time in North America.

Villa have been strongly linked to Mbaye and could now make a swoop as their hunt for a winger goes on.

Ibrahim Mbaye transfer stance clear at PSG

The 2008-born talent has certainly caught the eye for the right reasons at the Parc Des Princes.

Luis Enrique's side have won two Champions League titles in as many seasons and the teenager has made 42 appearances across those campaigns.

The majority of those came last time around as he featured 32 times and contributed to six goals and assists across all competitions.

It appears that isn't enough for the attacker as his future now seems to be clear.

Fabrizio Romano reported on Thursday that Mbaye "will leave PSG this summer".

His agent, Jorge Mendes, is now in control of his future as interest continues to build.

That could be music to Villa's ears as they could shortly end their hunt for a wide option.

Aston Villa have perfect Jorge Mendes link to sign Mbaye

Villa News has previously covered Mbaye and the strong interest from Aston Villa.

That hasn't changed this summer and will only intensify if Morgan Rogers seals his proposed move to Arsenal.

Romano went on to suggest on Thursday that a new winger is being targeted at Villa Park right now.

The Senegal international could prove to be that man, especially with his ties to super agent Mendes.

He is also the representative of imminent signing Joao Gomes as a move from Wolves looks set to be announced.

There is already a clear link to the agent there at Villa Park and that could prove to be something they utilise.

It could give them the perfect chance to sign Mbaye in a move that could transform them moving into the new campaign.
