Andres Garcia told to leave Aston Villa, next destination ready after Euro interest
Andres Garcia looks set to complete an Aston Villa exit this summer.
The Spaniard may have lifted the Europa League in Istanbul, but has played a very minor role in proceedings under Unai Emery.
His performance levels haven’t been good enough when given the chance, as he continues to deputise for the virtually ever-present Matty Cash.
The right-back position is one that the Villans have been urged to recruit in after years of neglect down that side.
Garcia could soon depart Villa Park as the door opens for a move away after a year and a half in claret and blue.

Andres Garcia interest emerges in Spain and Italy
There was a level of surprise when the 23-year-old completed a move to B6 from Spanish second-tier side Levante in January 2025.
He was an immediate first-team regular in the opening weeks of his Midlands career, but that is genuinely as good as it has gotten.

This season has seen injuries play their part, although his performances when starting have left a lot to be desired.
As a result, a move away feels entirely logical, but it appears that a loan departure is most likely at this stage.
Spanish outlet Tribuna Deportiva reported on Monday that Villa have informed the defender that he can leave temporarily to seek more game time.
Valencia are said to be well-positioned in the race to sign him, as various LaLiga and Serie A sides have showcased interest at this early stage.

🏴 Aston Villa abierto a incluir opción de compra…
Emery’s side aren’t averse to including a buy option in the loan agreement, but it “wouldn’t be cheap” due to the confidence in the right-back in B6.
Garcia has already been linked to Valencia and would prefer a move there, but it looks as if there is now a bigger decision to make.
What has gone wrong for Garcia at Aston Villa?
The surprise surrounding his January move from Levante was quickly forgotten by the claret and blue faithful after his early performances.
He made his Premier League debut in a disappointing 2-0 defeat away to Wolves, but made a positive impression.
Things all came crashing down at Villa Park when he started against Liverpool and was at fault for Mohamed Salah’s opening goal.

His misplaced pass was picked up by the late Diogo Jota before he squared the ball to the Egypt international, who converted with ease.
Garcia never quite got back up and running from there and continues to struggle for the Villans.
That was summed up when he was hooked at half-time in the final day win over Manchester City, which looks to have made way for an imminent exit.
