Manchester City vs Aston Villa: How to watch, TV channel and kick-off time

Manchester City welcome Aston Villa to the Etihad on Sunday as both sides bring their season to a close.

It has been a magnificent campaign for Unai Emery’s side, who capped it off by winning their first major trophy in 30 years on Wednesday as they beat Freiburg 3-0 in the Europa League final.

With nothing but pride to play for, they now face a Manchester City side in similar circumstances, with Arsenal crowned champions following City’s 1-1 draw with Bournemouth on Tuesday.

With Pep Guardiola looking to end his time as boss on a high and Villa aiming to finish their season in style, the two sides lock horns on Sunday.

How to watch Manchester City vs Aston Villa

Despite missing out on the Premier League title for a second consecutive year, it has still been a strong season for Sunday’s hosts, who have won both the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup.

With this in mind, Sunday’s clash is set to be an emotional occasion, with reports suggesting that boss Guardiola could be set to call time on his City career, although no official announcement has yet been made by the club.

As always on Sky, Ultra HD coverage is available with the applicable hardware, while streaming options are there via Sky Go and the Sky Sports website.

BBC Radio WM will continue to provide their usual coverage on Sunday, as has been the case throughout the season.

Aston Villa fans to relish Manchester City away trip

For the first time in 30 years, the travelling Villa contingent will be able to call themselves silverware holders.

Ideally, Wednesday’s final would have came after the end of the league campaign, but with one to go, the fans are presented with possibly the most stress-free away trip imaginable.

Looking back on what has been an incredible campaign, those making the trip to the Etihad can simply enjoy the day out, without anything of note to worry about.

What Sunday is more than anything, is a reward for a magnificent effort, that has perfectly summised Emery’s time at the club.

After a disastrous start, the Spaniard and his side have adapted fantastically, with the Midlanders even among the title chasing pack for a short period.

That did not come to fruition, but Villa have proven why they are now a force to be reckoned with in the division, a force that could only become stronger now the silverware drought is over.
