Aston Villa alert Galatasaray to Roland Sallai interest as talks set to begin
Aston Villa have informed Galatasaray about their interest in Roland Sallai.
The Villans have plenty to think about between now and the end of the season, with Champions League qualification and a Europa League final to be settled.
That hasn’t stopped various stars from being linked with a move to B6 with weeks remaining until the end of the campaign.
It appears that a new right-back is wanted by Unai Emery to provide new competition for Matty Cash ahead of the new campaign.
Galatasaray ace Sallai has emerged as a target for Villa, with discussions set to get underway before the transfer window even opens.

Aston Villa make Roland Sallai interest known
The 28-year-old is an experienced head, but has certainly made a positive impression for Gala since moving to Turkyie in 2024.
The Super Lig giants are the fourth permanent club of his career, with arguably some of his best form coming in the past two seasons.
| Season(s) | Club | Appearances | Goals |
| 2024-present | Galatasaray | 79 | 7 |
| 2018-24 | Freiburg | 163 | 27 |
| 2017-18 | APOEL Nicosia | 46 | 10 |
| 2014-16 | Puskas Academy | 51 | 4 |
He has been a regular for the Turkish giants and could soon find himself on the move to the Premier League.
That comes after local outlet Web Aslan reported that Villa have sent “the relevant documents” to showcase their interest in Sallai.
The Hungary international is firmly on the radar at Villa Park, but could cost a fee in the region of £21million this summer.
It has also been suggested that Galatasaray will attempt to tie him down to new terms, with management willing to increase his salary after the upcoming presidential election.
Villa have already shown interest in Hidemasa Morita, with experienced pros seemingly being targeted in the West Midlands.
Who is Galatasaray star Roland Sallai?
The Hungarian can feature as a right-back or further forward on the flank if needed.
He has performed at a top level in the Super Lig, making 29 appearances during a title-winning campaign at Ali Sami Yen Sports Complex.
As part of that, he’s had an impact going forward, but has still chipped in with 109 defensive actions and 137 successful duels.

The question still remains: What would Sallai add to Aston Villa?
The defender is excellent with the ball at his feet and knows how to pick a pass and create chances for his teammates.
His crossing is a plus point to his game, while also being able to help out defensively, so he certainly isn’t a one-trick pony.
It will be interesting to see if a move to Villa Park goes through for Sallai and what sort of impact he could make in claret and blue.
