Aston Villa set for new revenue stream as The Warehouse pictured with possible sponsor
Aston Villa could be about to see a new revenue stream open up, as The Warehouse appears to have found itself a sponsor.
The Warehouse is part of the regeneration project taking place at Villa Park, with the hope it will help transform the matchday experience for Aston Villa fans.
Aside from matchdays, the 3,000-capacity multi-purpose entertainment venue is also looking to become a vibrant hub for live music and various other events.
It recently opened its doors this spring, and has already become a hit with many Villa supporters.
However, the venue may now be about to be a big success for Aston Villa’s finances too, as a sponsorship agreement looks to have been found for it.

What potential sponsor has been pictured at The Warehouse?
The Warehouse has been tipped for renaming in recent weeks, after a “signage location” was spotted in the planning permission for the venue.
By striking such an agreement, Aston Villa would provide a new means to generate income, which would definitely be welcome given their well-documented struggles with PSR in recent times.

However, nothing has yet been confirmed on whether the venue will indeed take on a sponsor, and if so, who that might be with.
But, one eagle-eyed Villa supporter may well have just unlocked the mystery surrounding this, as X user Matt Layton shared the image he took of the outside of The Warehouse to social media on Friday.
The image shows an outside brick wall of The Warehouse, but with the words/logo of Sports Illustrated above it.
Who are potential The Warehouse sponsors Sports Illustrated?
To many fans, Sports Illustrated will be a name they recognise and know, but if you haven’t heard of them or perhaps have but are unsure of what they are, fear not.
Sports Illustrated is an American sports magazine that was first published in 1954, and has since evolved into much more than that.
They aren’t just a magazine anymore, having branched out to become an online news outlet too, and for an athlete to be featured on the front of the magazine has long been one of the most prestigious honours in sports media.
Indeed, it signifies that a particular athlete has reached global status and cultural impact, and many of world sports’ biggest stars have featured on the front cover.
So, if Sports Illustrated are indeed to be the sponsors for The Warehouse, that would be big deal for Aston Villa indeed, and would no doubt open up plenty of exciting marketing and branding opportunities in the future.
