Ben Broggio will excite Aston Villa fans for years to come.

The 19-year-old has shone in Villa’s youth ranks for years, scoring 16 goals and assisting nine times in 57 matches for the various academy sides.

He is currently on loan with Falkirk in the Scottish Premiership, where he has notched four goals and one assist in 11 matches, and scored in the 6-3 loss to Rangers on 12 April.

That is a solid return in a difficult league, and he may have a chance at making his way into Unai Emery‘s plans next season, if he can continue to show his talents.

Aston Villa have high hopes for Broggio, and it appears that he will not be leaving permanently anytime soon given his situation in the Midlands.

What is Broggio’s situation at Villa?

Broggio signed a contract extension with Villa in March 2025, before he joined the Scottish club on a loan deal in the winter transfer window.

That will keep him at Villa Park until 2029, at the very earliest, as long as both sides adhere to the deal and are happy.

That should keep any interested parties away, and the B6 faithful should be able to watch him thrive for the foreseeable future, rather than seeing him elsewhere.

How Broggio has performed on loan

Broggio’s underlying numbers in Scotland are impressive; in just 624 minutes of league action, he has four strikes.

He has recorded a total of 10 shots, created 13 chances for his teammates, and boasts a 62.5 per cent success rate on his dribble attempts, per Fotmob, suggesting that he is a handful for defences.

He also seems willing to help out defensively, with seven tackles, five interceptions and 30 recoveries in his time in Stirlingshire.

That specific aspect of his game should excite Emery, and could help him to bolster his chances of making the senior squad for the new season, when he is back at Bodymoor Heath, if he can help out when the side are without the ball.

It is very likely that Villans supporters will witness Broggio make the step up shortly, and given his contract duration, they should see him become an important player, if all goes well with his development.
