Harvey Elliott sends two-word message as Andrew Robertson confirms headline Liverpool exit
Harvey Elliott may be at Aston Villa, but he has reached out as Andy Robertson confirms his imminent departure from Liverpool.
The Englishman joined the Villans in the summer on an initial loan deal with a £35million obligation to buy if he played 10 domestic games.
That isn’t going to happen, and the attacking midfielder is now destined for an Anfield return as soon as the current campaign ends.
As a result, it is little surprise that the 23-year-old has kept tabs on all the goings on at his parent club throughout the season.
Elliott will soon return to Liverpool from Villa, but won’t link up with Robertson as he gets ready to leave Merseyside.
🚨 VILLA TRANSFER UPDATE 🚨
The latest breaking news on active deals, signings, departures, contracts and primary targets.
Harvey Elliott reaches out as Liverpool announce Andy Robertson departure
Villa’s number nine has had a dismal few months as his footballing career has been put on hold by a poorly negotiated summer transfer.
Having played just five Premier League games in claret and blue, the attacker wouldn’t be blamed for showing a negative attitude in B6.
| Stat (Premier League 25-26) | Harvey Elliott |
| Appearances | 5 |
| Starts | 1 |
| Minutes played | 110 |
| Goal involvements | 0 |
| Chances created | 1 |
| Duels won | 3 |
That certainly hasn’t been the case, and he has continued to cut a content and even happy figure in recent weeks and months.
He has continued to show that on social media, after reaching out to Robertson after it was revealed that he will leave Liverpool at the end of the season.
Elliott reached out to the Scotland international to comment on his Instagram announcement post: “The best!!!”
He followed that up by liking the post confirming the news by the official Liverpool account, as nine years at Anfield look set to come to an end.
Elliott is destined for a Villa departure in the coming weeks, but won’t line up with the left-back again on Merseyside.
Aston Villa loanee Elliott misses final chance to play with Robertson
Although the Englishman has shown no negative behaviour in the media, he will surely be gutted to miss out on a chance to feature with Robertson one last time.
The Scot has been a virtual ever-present at Liverpool ever since completing his bargain move from Hull City to L4 in the summer of 2017.

He is now ready to leave Anfield, and after exit links in the January transfer window, there are bound to be plenty of landing destinations available.
You just have to feel for Elliott that his season has been ruined, and now he won’t have a chance to play with someone whom he clearly sees as a personal hero.
