Jamaldeen Jimoh-Aloba is arguably the brightest talent coming out of Aston Villa right now.

The attacking midfielder is currently out on loan at West Brom after sealing a temporary return to The Hawthorns in January.

He came through the academy in the Black Country before being poached by the claret and blue outfit in a move that has become a regular occurrence for many star youngsters.

The 19-year-old has gone on to be highly thought of at Bodymoor Heath and has featured regularly on the youth international stage.

Jimoh-Aloba is catching the eye with Villa and the Three Lions and now poses one of the best names to continue history away from Villa Park.

The Villans are easily among the most historic clubs in English football, with their honours list as plentiful as anyone’s despite a dry spell without major silverware since 1996.

That doesn’t take away from their trophy cabinet and their years of success in producing top talent through their academy.

The claret and blue outfit has also typically been wise, making the most of signing English players during transfer windows.

That has helped the Villans to lead the way for players making their England debut while playing for a certain club.

Villa have had 63 players seal that honour, with Morgan Rogers being the latest, while Tottenham have produced 58, and Everton have now achieved 56.

There will be hopes that the Midlands outfit can maintain that moving forward, with Jamaldeen Jimoh-Aloba potentially Villa’s next best star ready to continue that historical trend.

It says a lot that the teenager has already made the step up to England senior training after being welcomed by Thomas Tuchel during the March international break.

He was one of the few under-19 squad members to be called upon, proving just how highly thought of he is at St George’s Park.

That is despite his recent lack of minutes at West Brom after making just three Championship starts since his January move.

He has still managed to have a positive impact, with Jimoh-Aloba grabbing an assist in the 3-0 win over Hull City, while also having one shot and a pass accuracy of 92 per cent.

The Englishman also has a senior Villa goal, with his strike against RB Salzburg representing one of the moments of the season at this stage.

There is so much to like about the attacking midfielder, and there will be hopes he can help the Villans extend their historical link to the England national team.
