
Aston Villa want Anderlecht starlet Nunzio Engwanda as bargain deal on cards
Aston Villa are in the running to sign Nunzio Engwanda from Anderlecht.
The Villans have consistently been in the market for the best young talent across Europe to improve their academy sides.
That has recently seen Brian Madjo come in from Metz, as a fee in the region of £10million was offset for his signature in B6.
He is just the most recent example at Bodymoor Heath, with the likes of Fletcher Boyd, George Hemmings and Mohamed Kone coming in recently.
Engwanda could be the next youngster signing in the pipeline at Villa, with the Anderlecht talent eyed ahead of the summer transfer window.

Aston Villa in running to sign Nunzio Engwanda
The 18-year-old has already made first-team appearances for the Belgian Pro League side as he catches the eye in the Midlands.
He is yet to feature in a senior game this campaign, but has continued to perform at under-19 level for Belgium since the turn of the year.

That has attracted the Villans’ interest, with Alan Nixon reporting on his Patreon on Sunday that Engwanda is wanted in B6.
The teenager currently has just one year remaining on his contract at Anderlecht and could be sold for a bargain fee when the summer window opens.
LaLiga outfit Real Sociedad are also interested, meaning Villa will have to provide a “convincing route to the first team” to the defender.
Villa have recently been linked to PSG talent Ibrahim Mbaye, with another fellow youngster in Engwanda also entering the thinking in claret and blue.
Who is Anderlecht youngster Nunzio Engwanda?
The 2007-born centre-back broke into the Anderlecht first team in 2024 and has made three appearances before returning to the youth side.
He was born in Belgium and has represented them at youth level, but is of Congolese descent, so also qualifies for their national side.
Engwanda is a product of the Purple and White and has made plenty of appearances for their “Futures” side since 2023.

The defender has clearly impressed at Lotto Park, having put pen to paper on a new contract in July 2024, which will last until the summer of 2027.
That opens the door for Aston Villa to make a move and sign the youngster for a cut-price fee when the summer window opens.
