Aston Villa called out by fans after latest pitch to sell Bologna tickets – ‘Ludicrous, embarrassing’
Aston Villa supporters say they are “not surprised” as tickets for the upcoming Europa League clash with Bologna remain on sale.
Villa welcome Bologna to Villa Park for the second leg of their quarter-final tie on 16 April, a week after the first leg in Italy.
It is a repeat of a fixture Villa played in the league phase of last season’s Champions League, meaning Bologna are familiar foes.
The Villans caused anger among the fanbase last week when announcing tickets for the quarter-final tie will cost as much as £77.
And a further update has now been shared on the upcoming Europa League clash, which has caused a stir.

How much are Aston Villa home tickets vs Bologna?
It is little wonder Villa fans hit out at the Bologna ticket prices. Those £77 tickets may be the tip of the iceberg, with the West Midlands club trying to squeeze every last penny out of supporters.
While that does drop down to £66 for season ticket holders, it is still a ridiculous amount.
Indeed, the cheapest adult tickets are £65, dropping to £55 for season ticket holders.

With tickets for the match not yet sold out, Villa posted an announcement via X on Saturday reminding fans that tickets are still up for sale.
This was met by an inevitable response from supporters, one of which pointed out: “Struggling to sell the tickets? Can’t say I’m surprised.”
Others posted messages of a similar sentiment.
Another fan, speaking for the majority, said: “Lower the ticket prices. It’s absolutely ludicrous to do this to the fans.”
Could Aston Villa follow in Nottingham Forest’s footsteps?
It is worth stating that Villa are certainly not alone in exploiting the loyalty of supporters.
Pretty much every other club is at it. The worst thing is, it will continue to happen because enough fans go ahead and purchase the vastly-overpriced tickets.
But if enough of the tickets remain unsold, Villa chiefs may well have to go down a similar route to Nottingham Forest recently.
Forest significantly reduced the prices for their Europa League last-16 tie with FC Midtjylland earlier this month.
Ticket prices dropped to as low as £15 and as high as £30 due to concerns over sales figures.
It is the oldest cliché going, but football really is nothing without fans. Villa risk angering too many if this goes on.
