Liverpool journalist launches staggering accusation at Unai Emery over Harvey Elliott
Harvey Elliott’s situation at Aston Villa continues to be a concern for everyone involved.
Elliott joined Villa on loan from Liverpool last summer, with the Midlands giants having an obligation to buy the Englishman for £35million if he makes 10 appearances for them this season.
However, it became clear very quickly that Unai Emery was unimpressed with the 22-year-old and wasn’t keen on making the move permanent.
It means that Elliott has made just two appearances since the start of October and only played seven times for Villa in total since his switch.

Unai Emery blamed for Harvey Elliott situation
Elliott has been reintroduced into the matchday squad in recent weeks, playing the full 90 minutes as Aston Villa beat RB Salzburg in the Europa League and coming off the bench in the defeat to Brentford.
However, the loanee was once again left as Villa drew 1-1 with Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon, with Emery unwilling to trigger the buy option.
On X, Liverpool journalist James Pearce launched an attack on the Spaniard, blaming him for the whole situation.
Pearce claimed that Emery had gone against the spirit of the deal by not playing Elliott, just to avoid paying the £35m.
He added that it is a tricky situation for Liverpool, who have every right to feel let down by Villa for consistently refusing to utilise the attacker.

How will Harvey Elliott situation be resolved?
To put the blame completely on Villa and Emery is somewhat strange, especially considering Liverpool could agree to change the terms of the loan if they really wanted to.
However, neither club look like they are going to budge on the matter, nor should they, which leaves Elliott in limbo.
It seems as if the 22-year-old will simply have to see out the rest of the season with the Midlands side before returning to Anfield in the summer.
Villa have lacked an attacking spark in recent weeks, especially in the second half of their draw with Bournemouth, so Emery would love to have Elliott at his disposal.
The Spaniard will not risk triggering the buy option though, so will be forced to look elsewhere in his squad to halt Villa’s slump.
