Aston Villa set out Emi Martinez demand after £18m deal
Emi Martinez has been linked with plenty of moves away from Aston Villa in recent months.
Martinez wanted to join Manchester United in the summer, but a move never materialised, and he was forced to stick around Villa Park.
The Argentina international hasn’t been at his best ever since, with Martinez often coming under fire at Villa for a series of poor moments.
That hasn’t stopped interest in Martinez away from Villa, as various sides have been named in the race to sign the 33-year-old.
The Villans have now set out their stall surrounding Martinez and a potential move away from the Midlands.

Besiktas table Emi Martinez offer
Martinez was stellar against Newcastle United, but then failed to cover himself in glory when Dango Outtara scored the winner for Brentford.
That sums up the ex-Arsenal man’s campaign, with inconsistency being a regular theme from game-to-game.

That could ultimately prompt Villa to let him go in an upcoming transfer window and potentially find a replacement.
The Villans could have the perfect chance to offload the Argentine, with Besiktas showcasing an interest in the keeper.
Turkish journalist Kartal Yigit reported on Wednesday that the Super Lig giants had made an approach to sign Martinez in January.
They tabled an offer as part of the Tammy Abraham deal before he ultimately completed an £18million return to Villa Park.
Unai Emery and Co. have set a £12.9million price tag on the shot stopper, something which ultimately put the Black and Whites off making a January move.
Who could replace Martinez at Aston Villa?
There are a multitude of goalkeeper options out there, and it does feel as if Villa will let Martinez go, potentially as soon as the summer.
Someone is surely going to jump on a deal around £12m for the World Cup winner, especially if he has a good tournament at the upcoming showcase in America.
That would open the Villans up to a keeper search, with someone like Diogo Costa already linked with a move to the Midlands.
The Villa Park faithful are also keeping tabs on James Trafford, with the Englishman being seen as a potential option due to his second-string role at Manchester City.
Either of those would make for positive options to replace Martinez, who appears to be approaching the end of his time in B6.
