Tammy Abraham sends message as surgery completed away from Aston Villa

Tammy Abraham will hope his current Aston Villa spell will go down as well as his first.

Abraham rejoined Villa from Besiktas in January as Unai Emery looked to add firepower to his forward line after letting Donyell Malen depart.

The Englishman was thrown straight into the starting XI as Villa fell to a 1-0 defeat against Brentford in yet another Villa Park defeat.

Abraham was involved in a massive controversy against Brentford as his goal was ruled out due to the ball being out of play at Villa’s corner flag in the build-up.

With that frustration behind him, Abraham has taken to social media to react after an update emerged following successful surgery.

Tammy Abraham reacts as ‘road to recovery’ begins

Abraham was a well-received signing by Villa fans, especially after news of his wage cut emerged after deadline day passed.

The Englishman wanted to play for the Villans, and they wanted him back after such a stellar loan spell back in the 2018/19 campaign.

It is crazy that seven years had passed between appearances in claret and blue, but he’s now back like he never left.

The striker has maintained his ties to the Midlands, with relationships with many Villa stars still there for all to see.

Abraham is seemingly also friends with West Brom forward Karlan Grant, although his move to The Hawthorns wasn’t confirmed until 2020.

That appears to be the case after the Villa man liked an Instagram post from the ex-Charlton forward after he underwent surgery on Tuesday.

Grant shared a message reading, “What doesn’t break you only makes you stronger. Surgery went well, thank God. Road to recovery, let’s get it.

Abraham also commented on the post with a heart emoji to give further support to the West Brom man.

Abraham must hit ground running at Aston Villa

It is unclear whether Ollie Watkins will be out for a period or will return against Bournemouth on Saturday, but Abraham won’t let that impact him.

The winter signing needs to be ready to showcase his talents and prove exactly why Emery wanted to bring him back to B6 so much.

He needs to get his shooting boots on and find his feet back in the Premier League immediately to get the goals Villa need.

The ex-Chlesea man has showcased that talent in Turkyie and needs to maintain that form, but is showing all the signs that will get the Villa Park faithful excited.
