Aston Villa get huge Youri Tielemans boost as new information comes to light
Aston Villa have been savaged by fitness issues in recent weeks and Youri Tielemans was the latest to be subjected to the treatment room.
Tielemans is expected to miss eight weeks for Villa after suffering an ankle injury, meaning he won’t be back until the start of April.
Unai Emery’s side are fighting on a number of fronts, sitting third in the Premier League table and still in both the FA Cup and Europa League.
Without one of their star midfielders though, it will be hard for the Midlands outfit to continue their superb form over the next few months.

Aston Villa have Youri Tielemans extension option
Despite the disappointing news about Tielemans‘ injury and the fact that he will be forced to watch from the sidelines for two months, it’s not all bad for Villa fans.
The Athletic have just revealed that the Belgian’s current deal at Villa Park does not expire until the summer of 2028.
Many Villans were under the impression that Tielemans’ contract was only valid until the end of the 2026-27 campaign, and were beginning to worry about his potential exit.
However, those concerns can now be put to one side, as the 28-year-old still has two-and-a-half years to run on his current deal.
Youri Tielemans is so crucial for Aston Villa
Tielemans has been so vital for Villa since he signed from Leicester City at the start of the 2023-24 campaign, and his importance to Emery’s side has only increased this season.
The creative midfielder has 17 Premier League appearances this term, featuring in every match as the Midlands outfit won eight top-flight games in a row across November and December.
In the league this season, Tielemans records an average of 62.1 touches and 1.5 key passes per game.

He has an overall pass accuracy of 84 per cent, but can do the defensive side as well, recording 5.1 duels won, 3.9 recoveries, and 2.2 tackles per game.
Villa fans will be glad that Tielemans is contracted until 2028 and hope that he recovers from his ankle injury to have an impact in the last few weeks of this season.
