Supercomputer makes new Aston Villa Premier League title prediction after Man United win
Aston Villa have statistically boosted their dreams of winning the Premier League after beating Manchester United on Sunday.
Unai Emery’s side comfortably beat Man United at Villa Park, which marked an incredible seventh Premier League victory in a row for the Villans.
There were suggestions that Emery would be sacked by Villa after a poor start to the campaign, but the Villans have completely turned their fortunes around.
Morgan Rogers has been on fire for Villa, and certainly staked his claim for a starting spot in Thomas Tuchel’s England team at next year’s World Cup.
The Villans are starting to dream of what’s possible, and the sky seems the limit for Emery‘s men, with Opta‘s Supercomputer now predicting where Villa will finish at the end of the Premier League campaign.
Aston Villa given outside chance for Premier League title
Emery has made tactical tweaks along the way, but Aston Villa now look at the peak of their powers under the Spaniard.
Villa have now won 16 games out of their 24 matches in all competitions this term, and for that, the odds are turning in their favour.
Opta‘s Supercomputer has predicted that Villa now have a 5.27 per cent chance of winning the Premier League.
- Opta have predicted Villa to finish third, behind Manchester City and Arsenal
- Emery’s men have also been tipped to finish on an expected points tally of 71.31
- Arsenal still have a 68.65 chance of winning the league, through a predicted total of 82.43 points
On top of this, Villa’s European future looks all but confirmed, as Opta has given the Villans an 84.02 per cent chance of playing Champions League football next year

With the January window around the corner, the Villa boss has to hope that things improve upon a poor summer of transfer business.

January the most crucial transfer window in long time for Aston Villa
Monchi’s summer business was woeful for the most part, and that can be highlighted in the cases of Evann Guessand, but mainly Harvey Elliott, who is likely to return to Liverpool.
However, Roberto Olabe’s arrival means that Villa have fresh ideas heading into what is simply the most important transfer window in recent times.
If Olabe gets it right, not only could Villa be in with a chance of winning the Europa League, but the Villans could also be English champions come May.
It’s an extremely exciting time to be a Villa fan, as more success looks destined to come to B6 very soon.
