Aston Villa hold key to Harvey Elliott decision as Arne Slot speaks out
Harvey Elliott’s time as an Aston Villa player could come to an end as early as January.
Aston Villa are genuine title contenders in the Premier League this season, and they owe a lot to Morgan Rogers for the success they have found so far.
The Englishman has been in blistering hot form this campaign, though the same cannot be said for his Villa Park teammate, Elliott.
Since arriving on loan from Liverpool with high expectations, Elliott has barely featured for the Villans, and Arne Slot has since spoken out about what the future holds for him.

Slot has no plans to recall Elliott
Elliott has played just 97 minutes of Premier League football under Unai Emery this season, showcasing how far down the pecking order he is.
However, despite his lack of time on the pitch, Slot has revealed he has no plans of recalling him at Liverpool, with the decision to be made by those at Aston Villa.
As quoted by Sky Sports, the Liverpool boss said: “Harvey is an Aston Villa player. He is supposed to be going there for a season.
“Any questions about him, the best place to ask is at Villa.”

For Elliott, it seems as though he is still stuck in limbo, but Slot’s decision could be what he needs to go on and reinvent himself at Villa Park.
Aston Villa can still benefit from Elliott
It was only two seasons ago that Elliott registered 15 goal contributions for Liverpool across all competitions.
He was seen as a key player to the squad, and that says a lot about the quality that he has to offer.
Aston Villa have seen that at times this season, primarily in the Carabao Cup clash with Brentford, where he was handed a start.
Via FotMob, Elliott scored from a shot that had 0.09 xG that day, and showed plenty of other qualities that showcase why he is worth keeping around.
He created one chance against the Bees and completed 91 per cent of his attempted passes, many of which were seen as progressive.
Elliott hit the target with both of his shots, while also completing the only cross he attempted in the game.
These are stats from a player suffering from a lack of gametime, and with more exposure to first-team football, they will only get better.
