Aston Villa star was immense for Unai Emery vs Man United, as well as Morgan Rogers
Morgan Rogers was the star of the show as Aston Villa beat Manchester United 2-1 on Sunday.
Rogers notched both goals for Villa on 21 December, as they moved to within three points of Premier League leaders Arsenal.
Villa ended their awful recent run against United, primarily due to the contributions from Rogers, but others should not go under the radar.
Amadou Onana is one of those who should get just as much credit as the England star for their showing at Villa Park.
How did Onana perform in Villa win over Man United?
Onana has grown in influence for Villa this season, and he continued his impressive form in the victory over Ruben Amorim’s side.
The Belgian completed 26 of the 29 passes that he attempted for a 90 per cent pass accuracy, and also created one chance for his teammates, per Sofascore.
Defensively, Onana won all three tackles that he attempted, and made four clearances, five recoveries, and one interception.
The midfielder won nine of the 12 duels that he attempted, for a 75 per cent success rate, and was a huge reason as to why the Villans secured the win.
Emery has new undroppable at Villa
Onana is becoming a more consistent player every week, and he may well prove to be the latest undroppable in Emery’s squad, alongside Rogers.

- He is rapidly becoming a key player for Emery’s side
The manager can rely on the former Everton star to turn up in each game, and put in a solid performance, which should benefit his side in their ambitions.
They need Onana to be on top form if they are to achieve their ambitions this season, and judging by his latest performance, he is ready.
The 25-cap international is finally justifying the £50million fee that the West Midlands outfit spent on his services, and he should be one of the first names on the teamsheet going forward, if he continues in this vein of form.
