Aston Villa duo dangerously close to suspension after what happened vs West Ham
Aston Villa could be depleted for upcoming games against Chelsea and Arsenal as they look to continue their Premier League title push.
Unai Emery’s side are just three points adrift of the Gunners at the top of the table, after their 3-2 comeback win over West Ham United.
The Midlands outfit went into the break 2-1 down, after strikes from Mateus Fernandes and Jarrod Bowen, either side of a Konstantinos Mavropanos own goal.
Morgan Rogers grabbed a spectacular brace for Villa in the second half though to turn the game on its head and secure the three points.
Aston Villa face Matty Cash and Boubacar Kamara issue
In the game against West Ham, Matty Cash and Boubacar Kamara picked up yellow cards, meaning they are both just one booking away from a ban.
The threshold for suspension goes up to ten yellow cards after gameweek 19, meaning that the duo must get through the next three matches without a caution.
With Villa facing Chelsea and Arsenal after hosting Manchester United next Sunday, Emery will be desperate to ensure that he has both Cash and Kamara available.

However, there is a real possibility that one or both could be suspended for either of the two trips to London, which would be a big blow for the Midlands outfit.

Aston Villa will miss influential duo
With Aston Villa still very much in the Premier League title race, games against Chelsea and Arsenal could be pivotal for their season.
Cash has started every Premier League game for Emery so far this season, highlighting his importance, so the Polish international would be a big miss if he were to be suspended.
The right-back has already scored three goals and an assist in the top flight this season, and makes 2.9 clearances and 2.2 recoveries per game.
| Stats (Premier League 25-26) | Matty Cash |
| Starts | 16 |
| Goals | 3 |
| Assists | 1 |
| Clearances (Per Game) | 2.9 |
| Recoveries (Per Game) | 2.2 |
As for Kamara, he is another regular in Emery’s side, starting 13 out of the 16 Premier League matches this season.
The 26-year-old has solidified his place in the midfield over the last few months and can now be considered one of the first names on the teamsheet.
Kamara has a pass completion rate of 87.6 per cent over the past 12 months, which ranks him in the top 12 per cent of all midfielder across Europe’s top five leagues.
As per FBref, he is in the top 10 percentile for aerial duels won (1.91) and will clearly be missed should he accrue a fifth yellow card.
