Ezri Konsa matches 125-year England record after what he did in win vs Serbia

Ezri Konsa’s winning streak with England continued in the 2-0 win over Serbia on Thursday.

Having spent over six seasons in B6, Konsa has emerged as one of the centre-backs in the country and has developed both mentally and physically on the pitch.

Konsa joined Aston Villa from Brentford in 2019 and has since made 251 appearances for Aston Villa.

Konsa has been excellent this season, and he has been a standout in some of Villa’s biggest matches.

Following his emergence at Villa, Konsa broke into the England team in 2024, and Thomas Tuchel remains hugely impressed with how he’s playing.

Konsa has won his last 11 England matches, the joint-longest winning run by a defender in England’s history. level with Bob Crompton’s achievement between 1908 and 1910.

Against Serbia, he registered a pass accuracy of 98 per cent, whilst making eight passes into the final third.
