Aston Villa could terminate Jadon Sancho loan as ‘promises not fulfilled’
Jadon Sancho’s future at Aston Villa could be set to come under scrutiny in the January transfer window.
The winger has had a difficult start to his loan spell in B6, and he is still yet to start a game in the Premier League so far this season.
Sancho impressed for Aston Villa during their recent Europa League defeat away at Go Ahead Eagles, but performances of such promise have been the exception, not the norm, for him so far.
Unai Emery has struggled to find a place for him in his starting XI, and that could be about to have a major impact on him as the winter window approaches.

Jadon Sancho told how to save Aston Villa spell
Emi Buendia suffered an injury for Aston Villa in the first half of their win over Manchester City at the weekend, which saw Sancho introduced into the action much earlier than he would have expected.
However, the 25-year-old was then dealt the embarrassment of being replaced himself in the 73rd minute, with just 45 minutes of action under his belt either side of the half-time interval.
It was the latest frustrating episode in what has been a completely unsuccessful move for the Manchester United loanee so far.
With that in mind, ex-Villa scout Bryan King – speaking exclusively to Villa News – believes that Emery may look to cancel his loan in January, and has urged Sancho to be more like former Villa loanee Marcus Rashford.
“I think it could be a possibility (Sancho’s loan being cancelled), if he doesn’t break through or produce the kind of form that Villa are expecting him to,” King said.
“He’s become a bit wayward in the way that his football life is. Everywhere he’s gone and everything that he’s done, he hasn’t fulfilled the promise or the money that’s been paid for him.
“He’s on loan at Villa and that’s a good opportunity. He’s seen what happened to Marcus Rashford. He came in a similar position, and now he’s playing for Barcelona, thanks to Aston Villa.

“Sancho can do the same, but he’s got to start playing. He’s got to start showing Emery and the staff in training, but at the moment, he doesn’t seem to be having an effect.”
Jadon Sancho part of woeful Villa deadline day
Sancho arrived at Aston Villa on deadline day of the summer transfer window, as he made up a trio of last-minute signings alongside Harvey Elliott and Victor Lindelof.
The second city outfit had a difficult summer as a result of their PSR constraints, but they seemingly resorted to taking significant gambles in order to scramble in some reinforcements in the final hours of the window.
Sancho and Elliott have contributed next to nothing in an attacking sense since their arrivals, while Lindelof is little more than a squad depth signing, having played just 21 minutes of league football so far this term.
It’s hard to look back at Villa’s business on that day and shake the feeling that all three arrivals were hugely panicked signings, and with that in mind, it has been no surprise to see them struggle so far.
