Unai Emery backed for imminent Aston Villa exit amid word emerging from dressing room

Unai Emery could soon be on his way out of Aston Villa in the coming weeks.

The Villans are yet to secure a single win this season, with Villa’s draw against Sunderland being the latest blow to the Spaniard’s side.

This has seen Villa News learn of a fallout between Emery and four Aston Villa stars, something which hardly comes as a surprise at Villa Park.

As a result, pressure is being piled on Emery, with Villa’s Europa League clash against Bologna coming up on Thursday evening.

The clash against the Serie A side is likely to be of huge importance, especially with a B6 departure potentially in the pipeline.

Unai Emery could leave Aston Villa before Christmas

There is no getting away from how much success the ex-PSG boss has had since coming in to replace Steven Gerrard in the claret and blue outfit’s dugout.

But things do seem to be unravelling, with Monchi surprisingly leaving Aston Villa after being a right-hand man to Emery alongside Damian Vidagany.

This potentially points towards all not being well behind the scenes, especially with reports of player frustrations emerging.

With that in mind, former Villa scout Bryan King has spoken out to share his belief that these issues could end with the Spaniard leaving within the next three months.

Speaking exclusively to Villa News, King said: “I wouldn’t be surprised if he isn’t one of the first managers to leave before Christmas.

Things aren’t right at Villa at all. I think the senior players at the football club would like to see the back of Emery, to be honest.

He seems to have lost the dressing room. The game on Thursday is going to be very, very important.”

Unai Emery can still turn things around at Aston Villa

If anyone is going to be able to turn the tide in B6, it is going to be Emery.

After such a stellar three years in B6, there is no doubt that the Spaniard has plenty of credit in the bank before facing the sack.

Having missed out on Champions League football on goal difference last season, it would be totally unfair to move him on any time soon.

It is also fair to say that many Villa fans would much rather see multiple first-team stars leave before Emery, summing up how loved and important he is.
