‘He’s off’ – Aston Villa fans fume as ‘concerning’ new Unai Emery footage emerges

Unai Emery was far from impressed as Aston Villa struggled to a 1-1 draw against Sunderland on Sunday afternoon.

With the Black Cats down to 10 men, there was hope that a win was on the cards, but Villa and Sunderland shared the points at the Stadium of Light.

After Reinildo was sent off for Sunderland for violent conduct, there was a real opportunity for the claret and blue outfit to change the tide.

Despite Matty Cash scoring the opening goal for Villa, they weren’t able to see out the result on yet another frustrating day away from Villa Park.

As disappointing as this was for the travelling Villans, it is Emery’s actions that have ultimately left the B6 fanbase furious on social media.

Unai Emery storms down tunnel after Sunderland draw

There is no getting away from the fact that the Midlands club were poor in the north east and deserved nothing from their performance in truth.

This saw the likes of Morgan Rogers have a Villa shocker against Sunderland, summing up the troubles of the away side.

Emery was left fuming by what he saw from his side, as he walked down the tunnel before the full-time whistle at the Stadium of Light.

This has been met by a mixed reception from the Villa faithful, with one fan describing this as a “concerning development,” with “more than enough concern already on the field.”

Another suggested that “he’s off this season,” pointing towards the potential departure of the Spaniard in the coming weeks and months.

This isn’t where the extreme reaction from supporters ended, with one fan describing Emery’s actions as “disgusting” before suggesting that “he needs to go. Today.”

It is fair to say that this sentiment was echoed by another supporter in B6, as they added: “Has to go and has to go tonight.”

It is fair to say that frustration was the main factor behind these sorts of comments, but one fan pointed out the lack of change in the squad since Emery took over.

Having named just two players signed by the Spaniard in the starting 11 in the north east, one supporter pointed out the issue that this would cause if the manager were to leave.

They said: “The worrying thing is, if Emery walked tonight, the team is hardly any different to the one he took over.”

It is fair to say that this sums up the widespread concern around the Villans right now, with pressure truly building around the ex-Paris Saint-Germain boss in the Midlands for the first time.

Aston Villa can’t lose Unai Emery

There is trouble in paradise at Bodymoor Heath right now as Emery deals with the most turbulence in his Villa journey so far.

After what had been such a stellar run in charge in B6, there was always bound to be a showcase of frustration at some point in claret and blue.

It is fair to say that this has come, with the performance against Sunderland being described as “lazy” by the man himself.

This sums up all the issues surrounding Villa right now, although sacking him is far from the answer at this stage of the campaign.
