Matty Cash has just angered entire Man United fanbase with two words
Aston Villa defender Matty Cash is coming under fire from Manchester United fans on social media.
Cash has had a positive start to the campaign with Poland, despite his club form alongside his teammates being below par at Villa Park.
This has come after Cash was linked with a return to Nottingham Forest in the summer, before ultimately opting to remain under Unai Emery’s tutelage.
There is every chance that the right-back could regret this decision, especially after he missed a penalty in Villa’s shootout defeat against Brentford in the Carabao Cup.
Now, Cash has come under fire from Old Trafford after a video emerged on social media, which has certainly caused some controversy.

Matty Cash leaves Manchester United fans raging
There is no love lost between the Villans and the Red Devils, especially after what went down in the most recent window.
Emi Martinez was strongly linked with Manchester United before Ruben Amorim’s side ultimately went on to sign Senne Lammens instead.
As a result, fans of the claret and blue faithful have been left annoyed by United after plenty of backlash on social media in recent weeks and months.
With that being said, it appears that the tables have turned after Cash spoke out and shared a shocking footballing take.
Speaking via the Premier League’s X account on 19 September, the Villa man picked Micah Richards ahead of United legend Gary Neville in a right-back ranking game.
When asked to pick between the pair, Cash took a second to think before simply saying: “Micah Richards”.
It is fair to say that those two words alone have caused huge frustration in the Old Trafford fan base and even the wider footballing world.
Matty Cash must be joking with Micah Richards pick at Aston Villa
There is a general frustration surrounding Cash and his form in recent years at Villa Park, with his performances sometimes leaving a lot to be desired.
Despite this, he has played a key role in a side which has consistently challenged for a European finish while doing very well in the Champions League.
By comparison, Richards captained a Villa side that was relegated in embarrassing fashion before going on to make just three appearances in the Championship.
To suggest that he was even near the level of Neville has to be some sort of joke, but based on his in-video reaction, that is unclear.
Micah Richards’ trophy cabinet:
- Premier League – 2
- FA Cup – 1
- EFL Cup – 1
Gary Neville’s trophy cabinet:
- Premier League – 8
- Champions League – 2
- FIFA Club World Cup – 1
- FA Cup – 3
- EFL Cup – 3
Whether this was supposed to be rage bait or not, it isn’t a great look for Cash, who is dealing with some serious social media scrutiny as a result.
