Mystery club in for Morgan Rogers as it’s revealed if Aston Villa star pushed for exit
Morgan Rogers hasn’t been at his best for Aston Villa so far this season.
Rogers was linked with a move to Tottenham in the summer, and supporters have since questioned his attitude after his form dropped.
The forward came off the bench alongside Ollie Watkins in the disappointing Carabao Cup defeat to Brentford and didn’t take a penalty in the shootout.
With frustrations growing over the Villans’ lack of attacking output, changes in January could be at hand, with Rogers still attracting Premier League interest.

Morgan Rogers didn’t push to leave despite three interested clubs
Unai Emery’s attack was on fire last season as they managed to score 58 goals.
Watkins attracted interest from fellow Premier League sides, as well as his teammate Rogers, but they are yet to get up to speed.
Despite Harvey Elliott’s goal against Brentford, the Villans remain the only side in England’s top seven divisions yet to score in the league.
With rumours circling about whether Rogers’ head has been turned, it has now been reported that he didn’t push for a move away.

According to The Telegraph on 17 September, he was on the radar of Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham, plus one other unnamed club from the traditional “big six”, but Villa were intent on keeping him.
Only a fee of more than £80million would have been entertained at Villa Park, with no offers received for the forward.

Morgan Rogers should be benched vs Sunderland
He may have looked good for England, but continuous poor performances in B6 could damage his Villa career.
After Elliott and Jadon Sancho showed promise in the Carabao Cup, Rogers’ position in the side could be under pressure.
The Sunderland fixture is an opportunity for Emery to finally get off the mark in the Premier League, and they can’t continue to give players minutes when they aren’t performing.
The backing is still there for the England international and as a result, he will be given plenty of time to turn things around.
