Unai Emery odds slashed to be next Man United manager amid Ruben Amorim sack latest
Manchester United could swoop in to steal Unai Emery away from Aston Villa.
Emery has come under pressure at Aston Villa after a difficult start to the season, although the sack will never truly be a threat at Villa Park.
Frustration has built after a goalless and winless start to the league season, with a goalless draw for Villa against Everton being their latest Premier League result.
As annoyed as fans are in the Midlands, it appears that negative opinion surrounding Ruben Amorim at Manchester United is growing already.
This could soon result in the Red Devils making a move for Emery should they look to replace Amorim in the coming weeks of the season.

Manchester United could snatch Unai Emery
Although Villa’s performance against Crystal Palace and the likes has been poor, the head coach certainly has existing credit in the bank.
There has been nothing but positivity surrounding the former Arsenal coach since coming in at B6, landing three consecutive seasons of European football.
Although this season’s spell in the Europa League isn’t what fans had hoped for, that is a sign in itself of the progress that has been made.
As a result, it is little surprise that there would be interest from elsewhere in taking him away from Villa Park to become someone else’s manager.
This is where Manchester United could come in, should Sir Jim Radcliffe and Co. grow frustrated with Amorim and his hyperfixation on a 3-4-3 formation.
With that in mind, Emery’s odds to take over at Old Trafford have been shortened by BetVictor on 16 September, dropping to 8/1 at this stage of the campaign.
The Spaniard sits in the odds behind the likes of Michael Carrick, Gareth Southgate and Oliver Glasner, coming in at 6/1, 4/1 and 4/1 respectively.

Aston Villa will not let Unai Emery go
Villa may have been keen to let Emi Martinez leave this summer, with Manchester United interested, but the same can’t be said about the manager.
As good as some of Villa’s stars can be, they are ultimately replaceable. Emery simply isn’t.
Stat | Unai Emery |
Matches | 144 |
Wins | 76 |
Draws | 27 |
Losses | 41 |
It may not be going as well as fans want right now, but if anyone can turn it around and get the team playing football again, it is the former PSG boss.
As a result, letting him go could prove to be the beginning of a dark period in claret and blue, as there aren’t many better out there than him.
Letting him go to Man United would also cause huge tensions in the fan base, something which Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens can’t afford.
