Tyrone Mings shares one big Aston Villa wish ahead of Brentford clash
Aston Villa are in action in the Carabao Cup for the first time this season when they take on Brentford on Tuesday evening.
Following their disappointing start to the season with Unai Emery’s side failing to score in their opening matches, Villa are the underdogs against Brentford.
Morgan Rogers’ form has also plummeted, and as a result, the 23-year-old could be left out of the starting XI for the trip to the Gtech Community Stadium.
The game gives Villa another opportunity to end their dismal run and get their first win of the season, with Tyrone Mings sharing the wish he has ahead of the game.

Tyrone Mings has lofty ambitions for Aston Villa ahead of Carabao Cup clash
Mings, 32, has started all four Premier League matches this season, after coming off the back of a campaign in which he only managed 12 league starts in total.
Speaking to Villa’s media team ahead of the third-round Carabao Cup clash with Brentford, Mings shared his big wish for the upcoming cup competition.
“Hopefully, we can go far in as many different competitions as possible, and silverware has to be the goal,” Mings said.
Villa have been predicted to win the Europa League this season, but Emery will know he cannot afford to put all of his eggs in one basket.
Ensuring Villa progress deep into the Carabao Cup will only increase Villa’s chances of lifting some well-earned silverware after their last few campaigns.

Tyrone Mings wants revenge for what happened back in 2020
Mings signed for the B6 outfit back in 2019 after initially joining the club on loan.
The defender was in the starting lineup at Wembley as Villa lost 2-1 to Manchester City in the final of this competition.
“Obviously, we’ve had some relative success in getting to the Carabao Cup final a number of years ago, so we want to try and go as far in these competitions as possible,” Mings said.
With Villa having not lifted a trophy since 1996, with Emery at the helm, it seems as though the Villans have an opportunity to end this drought.
For all the good work the Spaniard has done in bringing Champions League football back to Villa Park, getting his hands on silverware would ensure that everyone in world football has to sit up and take notice of what Emery has achieved at Villa.
