Aston Villa fans will be excited after star produced ‘terrific’ international display

Aston Villa have started the new Premier League season extremely poorly.

Unai Emery’s men are currently sat in 19th in the Premier League, with one point from their opening three games.

Before the international break, Villa lost 3-0 to Crystal Palace at Villa Park, with Emery’s side being the only one in the division to have not scored yet.

Emi Martinez attempted to force a move, and that drama cannot have helped Villa, who will be looking to kickstart their season this weekend.

Morgan Rogers was ‘terrific’ for England vs Serbia

Rogers, 23, has been a part of this blunt forward line for the Villans so far this season, but the youngster was back to his best on international duty for England as they defeated Serbia 5-0 on Tuesday.

Speaking on The Rest Is Football on 10 September, former England international Gary Lineker labelled Rogers as “terrific” during the game and thought the Villa star was the best player on the pitch.

On top of the Villa star rediscovering his best form, the arrival of Harvey Elliott will help Rogers translate this form over to his club side as Villa bolstered their attacking options on deadline day.

Morgan Rogers can find his best form for Aston Villa

With Elliott and Jadon Sancho signing for Emery’s side, Rogers will have more quality players around him for the remainder of the Premier League campaign.

With Evann Guessand struggling against Palace, Sancho could make the left wing position at Villa Park his own, despite Jamie Carragher questioning the signing of Sancho.

If Rogers can produce the same creative output he did against Serbia for Villa against Everton this weekend, it will only be a matter of time before Ollie Watkins begins to find himself on the scoresheet again regularly as Villa propel their way up the table.
