Jadon Sancho’s debut will have to wait – Early Aston Villa predicted XI vs Everton

Unai Emery finally has options ahead of Aston Villa’s trip to Everton after the international break.

Villa are the only team in England’s top four leagues yet to score a goal, with their strike force yet to get going this season.

Aston Villa have added Jadon Sancho to their ranks after he joined the Villans on loan from Manchester United on transfer deadline day.

Sancho hasn’t had any gametime for Manchester United over the summer after returning from his loan spell with Chelsea, and the encounter with Everton will likely be too soon for the winger.

Harvey Elliott the only change for Aston Villa

Harvey Elliott joined Aston Villa on loan from Liverpool on transfer deadline day and the move includes an option to buy worth £35million.

Out of the new signings, Elliott is the only one who has had any experience during preseason, as he starred for England’s under-21s in their European Championship win.

Marco Bizot looks set to continue in goal, despite being at fault for two of the three goals conceded in the defeat to Crystal Palace.

Emery’s usual number one, Emi Martinez pushed for a move to Manchester United and has some apologising to do after the transfer didn’t materialise.

Up front, Villa will likely continue with Evann Guessand despite his poor showing, and will be aided by Elliott.

Jadon Sancho and Victor Lindelof unlikely to start

Former Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof is unlikely to be plunged straight into Emery’s starting eleven.

Question marks over the Swede’s fitness have emerged, with the defender without a full preseason.

His ex-United teammate Sancho has had his fair share of injuries and turbulent form, which will likely mean that Villa go for a more recognisable lineup.

Despite a poor showing last time out, a two-week international break has allowed most of the squad a chance to rest and reset.

Emery will be aware that the performance against Crystal Palace is unlike the Villans, and they have an opportunity to put things right against Everton on 13 September.

With all three England internationals in the Aston Villa squad not starting against Andorra, Ezri Konsa, Morgan Rogers, and Ollie Watkins will all be raring to go.
