Aston Villa agree personal terms for record-breaking attacker, he’s in Birmingham for medical
Aston Villa look set to confirm a signing ahead of deadline day.
The Villans have had a difficult window to this point at Villa Park, with Evann Guessand being Villa’s only outfield signing to this point.
Since then, there hasn’t been a lack of rumours around Unai Emery’s side, with Lucas Paqueta from West Ham being Villa’s latest target.
With that being said, any additional signings are yet to come through the doors, even with a last-gasp swoop mooted for Harvey Elliott at Villa.
As a result, it will be music to supporters in B6 to learn that a potential new signing has agreed to join the claret and blue outfit ahead of a medical.

Aston Villa step closer to new signing
It appears that a number of irons are in the fire for Monchi and Emery right now, with the hope of getting deals done before the window slams shut.
Now, the Villans could be set to complete the signing of a young asset in the shape of Fletcher Boyd from Scottish Premiership outfit Aberdeen.
The attacking midfielder has been linked to Villa as Morgan Rogers continues to be linked away, but looks to be taking a step closer to signing a deal at Bodymoor Heath.
This comes after Scott Burns reported on 31 August that Aberdeen have accepted a £1million fee plus significant add-ons for the 17-year-old.
Boyd travelled to Birmingham yesterday, and now a deal is set to go through, subject to medical tests with the Villa Park club.
Fletcher Boyd broke records at Aberdeen
There is no getting away from the fact that the Scottish teen won’t be the signing that the Villa fans are hoping for, but it is still exciting.
The Villans have one of the brightest academy set-ups in all of English football right now, with Jamaldeen Jimoh-Aloba and Triston Rowe being the shining lights right now.
As a result, adding the best of talent from elsewhere can only be seen as a plus point for the recruitment strategy in the Midlands.
This is especially the case given the fact that Boyd is the youngest senior goalscorer in the history of Aberdeen, netting on his Dons debut at 16 back in May.

It will be interesting to see where he fits in around Bodymoor and whether he will manage a rare breakthrough into the first team under Emery.
