Marcus Rashford has already endorsed ‘exciting’ star Aston Villa should make last-ditch move for

Aston Villa could take advice from Marcus Rashford to land a summer signing late in the window.

Rashford signed for Villa on loan from Manchester United in the winter window and went on to have a largely positive spell at Villa Park.

The England international’s time in B6 was ultimately cut short by injury in a frustrating fashion before Villa controversially lost to Man United and missed out on Champions League qualification.

As a result, the 27-year-old never returned to work under Unai Emery; instead, Rashford joined Barcelona on loan, where he struggled on debut.

With that being said, Monchi and Co. could now land a last-gasp alternative from the market in the shape of a Rashford recommendation.

Aston Villa could land late Jadon Sancho signing

It is clear for all to see in the Midlands that attacking depth is needed before the 1 September deadline halts any potential transfer business.

This could see Villa reignite interest in Jadon Sancho at Man United, as the Englishman continues to be strongly linked with an Old Trafford exit.

A loan move to Roma was so nearly confirmed for Sancho before the plug was pulled in the latter stages of negotiations with the Serie A side.

This could see Ruben Amorim and Co. hit the panic button and open the door for the Villans to land the signing of the former Borussia Dortmund man.

Although this may appear to be a risk, there is no doubt that the winger could be exactly what Emery needs in his squad right now.

Sancho was a useful asset on loan at Chelsea and could replicate that output at Villa Park if he were to become one of the only natural wingers in the claret and blue squad.

As a result, hearing exactly what former teammate Rashford thinks of the winger could prove to be a catalyst for the Villans this summer.

Marcus Rashford has piled praise on Jadon Sancho

There is no getting away from the fact that Rashford and Sancho have an excellent relationship from their time with England and Manchester United.

This has often seen the former Villa loanee speak out on his countryman on many occasions, with all of it being hugely positive.

One quote that will pique the interest of the Villa fans is one that saw Rashford describing his soon-to-be Man United teammate as “exciting”.

In a question-and-answer session with Bleacher Report, as quoted by Sky Sports (April 2020), Rashford spoke in glowing terms about Sancho.

He said: “Sancho is a great player, he’s like the new generation of player. It’s exciting to watch him become the player he is developing into.

“Sancho plays off the cuff, he’s creative, imaginative, and those are the things that you need to do well in this generation [of football].”

This could see the winger become a superb addition for Villa this summer, especially as Amorim and the Red Devils look to part ways with the outcast star at any cost before the 1 September transfer deadline.
