Aston Villa to go all out for Christopher Nkunku after transfer news at Bayern Munich
Aston Villa have endured a frustrating transfer window this summer.
The Villans lost two key attackers during the close-season as loanees Marcus Rashford and Marco Asensio had to go back to their parent clubs.
It would be argued by many Villa fans that they are yet to adequately replace these two. Villa have also just sold Jacob Ramsey to Newcastle United.
Villa’s lack of firepower was evident in their opening two Premier League games. They didn’t score in either of them, and Villa clearly lacked a cutting edge in their 1-0 defeat to Brentford.
Now, it looks like they’re set to miss out on their main transfer target with just a week until the transfer window closes.

Aston Villa target Nicolas Jackson ‘agrees terms’ with Bayern Munich
Unai Emery has been keen to bring Nicolas Jackson to Aston Villa.
The Spaniard managed Jackson at Villarreal and believed he could reignite his best form at Villa Park.
Chelsea have valued Jackson at £60million, but it appeared as if that wasn’t putting Emery off.
However, he looks set to miss out on his target. The Daily Mail reports that Jackson has agreed terms with Bayern Munich.

Aston Villa look set to go all in on Christopher Nkunku instead
The setback likely means that Villa will now go all out to try and sign Christopher Nkunku.
Nkunku has also been linked with a transfer to Villa Park, and it was suggested that they might bid for him if their efforts to sign Jackson fail.
Nkunku could turn out to be an promising alternative for Aston Villa. He has shown the versatility, creativity and eye for goal needed to succeed in the Premier League.
He is flexible enough to give Unai Emery more options as he tries to navigate the Premier League and Europa League this season.
Nkunku has fallen out of favour at Chelsea, but he proven himself as the highest level for them and RB Leipzig beforehand.

He might not be Villa’s first choice, but with a week to go until the transfer window closes, Emery will be aware that he’ll need to buy someone to strengthen his attack. Nkunku could be the right man in the right place.
