Aston Villa could now agree savvy Nicolas Jackson loan signing as new fee revealed
Aston Villa are keen to add to their attack this summer despite Unai Emery running on a limited budget.
Emery is keen on a reunion with Nicolas Jackson, whom he managed during his time at Villarreal.
Aston Villa have only managed to add Evann Guessand to their attack so far this summer, but having balanced the books slightly with sales, they are eager to sign more players before the end of the window.
The Villans have been given plenty of setbacks so far this summer, but they finally look to be making a breakthrough on Jackson with Chelsea.

Aston Villa could pay £10million loan fee for Jackson
Emery’s admiration for Jackson is one of the worst-kept secrets in football.
The Spaniard tried to sign the striker before he moved to Chelsea and has continued to heap praise on the Senegal international.
It had looked like Aston Villa’s move for Jackson was dead in the water when Chelsea set a £51million asking price for the striker.
However, with interest in the 24-year-old limited, the West London side have now set new conditions for a potential move.
According to transfer expert Ben Jacobs on X, clubs interested in Jackson are being told a loan with an obligation may be possible under the right conditions.
A savvy £10million loan fee is available for interested parties, with Newcastle and AC Milan also interested in the versatile forward.
- Jackson played 48 games under Emery at Villarreal
- The striker caught the eye as a youngster at Casa Sports before moving to Spain
- He scored 13 times for the Spanish outfit before transferring to Chelsea
The Villans have been given a huge boost in the race for Jackson, but worries still remain.
Should Chelsea elect to lower his valuation, another club could swoop in for Emery’s golden boy, with the £10m fee hopefully lowering the cost of any future permanent move.
It appears that Aston Villa will now just have to wait and see what happens with Jackson and hope that the Blues are still open to a loan move later in the window.
Can Ollie Watkins still leave this summer?
There has been plenty of interest in Ollie Watkins from Manchester United and Newcastle this summer.
Player | Games | Goals | Assists | Minutes per goal |
Watkins | 470 | 172 | 74 | 204 |
Jackson | 173 | 51 | 27 | 224 |
Villa have been adamant from day one that the England international isn’t for sale, but signing Jackson would change the dynamics up front.
Emery had issues balancing the needs of both Jhon Duran and Watkins during their time together at Villa Park, and he could face another problem should Jackson sign.
Either way, Watkins is still unlikely to leave in the coming weeks, but it could influence his decisions in the coming transfer windows.
Jackson is the main man to watch between now and the end of the window.
