Aston Villa vs Newcastle United: Kick-off time and how to watch
Aston Villa are finally ready to start their season against Newcastle United in their Premier League opener on Saturday.
The fixture is rarely goal shy, with 25 goals between the two sides in their last six meetings, with Unai Emery mostly getting the better of Eddie Howe’s side.
Last campaign, the Geordies won 3-0 at St James’ Park, before Villa got revenge in a 4-1 win in April.

Aston Villa vs Newcastle will be played just after midday on Saturday
Emery’s Aston Villa will play host to Newcastle at Villa Park on Saturday, 16 August, at 12:30 BST.
The new season begins on Friday night as Liverpool take on Bournemouth, so the Villans play on the second day of the campaign.
